Starbucks, a longtime industry leader when it comes to adoption of mobile payments and mobility loyalty in-store, announced this morning that its "Mobile Order & Pay" system is now available nationwide.

Starbucks has released a mobile app feature called Mobile Order and Pay across the US.

Wild said that the benefits of online and mobile ordering included allowing customers to have access to up-to-date menus and offers.

For example, last year Chicken Republic, one of the largest fast food retail outlets in Nigeria, became the first stand-alone fast food restaurant in the country to launch online and mobile ordering and payment.

However, for larger orders, mobile ordering has an advantage.

The company is also developing a consumer-facing mobile app which will offer mobile ordering.
