Results were also analyzed by Design Expert Version 7 from Stat-Ease, Inc. (Minneapolis, MN), which indicated that an interaction between acetate and formate is significant.
For Mn coordination compounds, the energy position shifts more toward lower energy compared to the Mn oxides, which indicates that Mn coordination compounds have much stronger covalency compared to the Mn oxides.
Significant positive correlations are found among As, Hg, Pb, Mn, Cr, which indicates those elements may have similar modes of occurrences.
It was found that this treatment not only decreased the yield of radiation-induced MN by about 70% but also significantly diminished the MN formation in the bystander cells, which indicates that the mitochondrial function may be involved in the RIBE.
However, when TiO2 NPs are doped with Fe3+ (Fig. 1d) and Co3+ ion (Fig. 1e), the ratio of the intensities of the peaks t 2g (457.4 eV) and e g (459~460 eV) decreases below those of the anatase TiO2 and other TM-TiO2 (Cr-TiO2, Mn- TiO2, and Ni-TiO2), which indicates the presence of a weak crystal field or an increment in the number of under-coordinated Ti atoms.
We observed the aggregation of DSBs in nuclear blebs, which indicates that MN-γ-H2AX may be derived from the clustering of DNA DSBs inside nucleus.
However, the secondary phases of Mn2N0.86 (111) and Mn3GaN0.5 (200) are observed at 42.00° and 46.58° in heavily Mn-doped GaN nanorod, sample L-MnNR [31, 32], which indicates that the average 3.3% Mn concentration has exceeded the solubility of Mn in these GaN nanorods to form Ga1 − x Mn x N with Mn substituting the Ga under the growth conditions.
The estimated heritability of preexposure MN-RETs in PB was 0.65, which indicates that the genetic variance is roughly two times larger than the environmental variance.
Note that the shoulders and the doublet in XAS spectra are hardly resolvable in the XMCD spectrum, which indicates that the oxidized Mn ions have no contribution to the ferromagnetism.
