We have developed non-periodic Cr/Sc multilayer mirrors specifically designed to reflect energy photons between 2 and 4 keV with a pre-defined reflectivity profile.
The coordinate transforms from detector coordinates, det, to a location on the chip requires using an average value for the location of the detector relative to the mirrors -- specifically the mean SIM offsets, DY_AVG, DZ_AVG, DTH_AVG.

A tiny electromechanical switch under the bottom mirror can also lift it up, adjusting the spacing and preventing it from reflecting any light at all.Cavities with mirrors spaced specifically to amplify red, blue and green light are grouped in bunches of three, each of which corresponds to a single dot, or pixel, on the display.
The beamline is at a bending magnet source and features a pre-mirror (collimation), double crystal monochromator (fixed exit beam), and a post-mirror configuration, specifically design to provide tender X-rays (1.8 8 keV).
And so we fashion for ourselves mirrors and panopticons specifically to monitor and experience ourselves -- in the third person, where Reality reportedly cannot touch us -- as we live and die.
Several effects contribute to this, e.g. the uncertainty in the pointing, the fact that the detectors are flat, while the focal plane of the mirror is curved (specifically for large off-axis angles) and the pixalization of data on detector read-out.
The work has been carried out by Dr Michael Banissy, a Professor of Psychology at Goldsmiths, and his post-doctoral researcher, Dr Natalie Bowling, who spent years looking into empathy and, more specifically, mirror-touch synaesthesia.

One novel contribution of the current study is our finding that the human mirror neuron system specifically, is differentially sensitive to ingroup versus outgroup members.
Specifically, mirror neurons could play a part in action understanding even if this functional role was not favoured by natural selection in the course of phylogenetic evolution.
