Wind down the weekend with a free classical concert in one of Berlin's most unique spaces: the Spiegelsaal (Mirror Hall), hidden above a late 19th-century dance hall called Clärchens Ballhaus.
The nearby Mirror Hall, also white and gold, is where Mozart, then age 6, played for Maria Theresa.
But as much as I love the nostalgic vibe on the ground floor, it is the chandeliered Spiegelsaal (mirror hall) upstairs, all towering ceiling, baroque detailing and huge mirrors, that draws gasps, and crowds.
