Matching is always done with replacement and only observations in the common support region – where the propensity score of the control units is not smaller than the minimum propensity score of the treated units and the propensity score of the treated units not larger than the maximum propensity score of the control units – are used in the analysis.
FA recipients with an estimated propensity score above the maximum or below the minimum propensity score for the comparison group were treated as not having "common support" in the comparison group and so were dropped from the matched sample [ 12, 16]. Figure 1 shows the kernel density plots of the estimated propensity scores before and after matching.
The mean propensity score was 0.75, indicating that the average weight given to each follow-up responder was 1.33, while the minimum and maximum weights were 1.03 and 14.4, (corresponding to maximum and minimum propensity scores of 0.97 and 0.0696, respectively).

This step is followed by imposing the common support region, which is the area within the minimum and maximum propensity scores of treated and comparison groups, respectively (Caliendo and Kopeinig 2008).
[ 19] Initiative and self-discipline were consistent with the behaviors described in the self-management scale, which emerged as a minimum predictor of the propensity to adopt EBP.
Goal setting was addressed in two of the items in the self-control scale, which emerged as a minimum predictor of the propensity to adopt EBP.
Baskaya and Rubinstein (2012) find that when the interaction between the federal minimum wage variation and the propensity for the federal minimum wage to bind in a state is used as an instrumental variable for the prevailing state minimum wage, stronger negative disemployment effects result compared to the standard panel data estimator.
These "minima" represent regions with increased propensity to form secondary structure, typically α-helices, which often act to nucleate formation of protein interactions.
Osteoporosis is a chronic, progressive disease of the skeleton characterized by bone fragility due to a reduction in bone mass and possibly alteration in bone architecture which leads to a propensity to fracture with minimum trauma[ 1].
In our screening, these substitutions are expected to have the strongest effects in reducing aggregation propensity by introducing the minimum number of perturbations in each of the Ub binding sites (Fig. 3 A).
