For the partial PSC members with 550 MPa reinforcements, the minimum effective prestress (fse,min) is 0.60f pu to meet the Δf ps limit of 250 MPa.

After performing an elastic analysis for the PSC section, if the stress in the precompressed extreme tension fiber at the service loads (f b ) belongs to the Class C category, the design effective prestress (f se ) is then compared with the minimum required effective prestress (fse,min) presented in Table 3.
The factors examined in this study include the content of non-prestressed steel, tendon eccentricities, tendon area, effective prestress, span-to-height ratio, concrete strength, CFRP modulus of elasticity and load type.
The resulting effective prestress was 1,144 MPa.
