To model the QD formation in quantum confinement or on surfaces, the structure and composition of one group of the studied QDs (called pre-designed molecules) have been derived from those of symmetry elements of GaAs and InAs bulk fcc lattices by the total energy minimization procedure in the presence of spatial constraints applied to positions of the atomic centers of mass.
We next compute the longest path, or diameter, of the MST to give us an ordered sequence of control points that will constitute the start point for the energy minimization procedure in the next subsection.
In Figures 8 and 9, the minimization procedures described in Equations 5 and 7 are highlighted.
This minimization procedure resulted in minimal change in the coordinates of Cα atoms of the H-2Kd molecule, in similarity to several previous works with MHC I and II molecules, with a root mean square deviation of Kd backbone atoms of ca. 0.51 Å for autologous (as here) or homologous molecules to 1.33 Å for xenogeneic MHC molecules (e.g. from HLA-A2 to H2-Kd) 21, 45, 55– 55.

In this paper, we demonstrate that the Weighted Sidelobe Minimization procedure, developed in our recent work that combines the outputs of WD and the existing Binominal Design algorithms for ordering transmitted complementary waveform sequences using a point-wise minimization process (PMP), is also effective for the elimination of false target returns arising from sea clutter.
