To test the hypothesis that the surface pSBMA polymer brushes grafted from the Ti6Al4V substrate could promote the heterogeneous surface mineralization both in terms of surface mineral coverage and mineral bonding affinity, we subjected Ti-pSBMA-200 substrates and the unmodified Ti6Al4V control to a urea thermal decomposition mediated mineralization process.
