Pbx1 is known to be necessary for angiogenesis mediated by HoxD3 [ 16]; therefore, one of the functions of HoxD3 is to induce ECs so that they are in an active phase--proliferative and migratory--and it is suggested that HoxD3 is involved in the tumorigenesis of canine HSA.
