You might, but I will say that when we started the show you're putting your finger on one of the great concerns that Vince and I had because the ground of law shows has been ploughed so thoroughly.
So if I do what my doctors tell me to do — get my blood checked regularly, take my meds and consult with my doctor and follow any additional instructions he might make — I will be able to maintain my good health and live my life with a minimum of disruptions to my lifestyle.
A maxim might be "I will open the door in order to let the air in".
Prinz doesn't formulate the maxim behind the action, but the example can be filled in the maxim might be "I will kick a child whenever I see one in order to relieve my frustration".
For example, if you experience frequent anxiety, a helpful self-affirmation might be "I will do the best that I can do today.
For example, if you want to exchange services with your neighbor, you might say, "I will mow your lawn every weekend from June-August if you will come over every day and water my garden".
If the reason column said "I don't do my homework", and the Why? column said "I don't have enough time because I play too many sports", in the Improvement column, you might write "I will drop one sport and set aside an hour every evening for studying and homework".
Regardless of how hard I might work at something or how well I might do, I'll never measure up.
