In response to the worlds growing demand for clean energy Shell has developed its Middle Distillate Synthesis (SMDS) technology.
In linguistic terms, I follow my previous work on South Asia (Fuller 2003, 2007) while for East and Southeast Asia I attempt to chart a middle ground synthesis from among the thinking by Blench (2005, 2008a, 2010a, b), Van Driem (2011a, b) and Sagart (2003, 2008, this volume).
A novel iron-based micro-capsule catalyst with interior Fe/Silica core and exterior H-ZSM-5 shell was synthesized via in-situ crystallization route on Fe/SBA-15 catalyst by using steam-assisted crystallization (SAC) process and evaluated for direct synthesis of middle isoparaffin from syngas in a fixed-bed reactor.
A new concept on the direct synthesis of middle iso-paraffins through the modified supercritical Fischer Tropsch (FT) reaction was proposed and experimentally demonstrated with the combination of Co/SiO2 and palladium-supported β zeolite (Pd/β) catalysts both in one-stage and two-stage fixed-bed reaction systems.
