The data for the tumour architecture was analysed using the mid-range score for each component, corrected to bring each observers total to 100%.
The scales were examined in the multivariable models after collapsing the scores into 3 levels: high score (score > interquartile range), mid-range score (within interquartile range) and low score (score < interquartile range).
Consequently an additional missing value option for ' not applicable' was included in the postal versions to reduce the chances of a respondent assigning a mid-range score to a ' not applicable' rating.
The predicted EQ-5D utility values followed more closely with observed ones for mid-range scores, especially for Models I-III.
The results for the EQ-5D index score demonstrated an MID ranging from 0.09 (for MID-3) to 0.20 (for MID-2).
Further analysis indicated that the significant correlation of the tumour epithelial FAAH-IR with the Gleason score was seen for mid-range CB1IR scores, but not for either low or high CB1IR scores (Table 2).
The values for Inspire and Azan's integrative complexity and dialectical complexity are in the mid range compared to these magazines; their elaborative complexity scores are perhaps slightly lower.
Tumour epithelial FAAH-IR was positively correlated with the disease severity at diagnosis (Gleason score, tumour stage, % of the specimen that contained tumour) for cases with mid-range CB1IR scores, but not for those with high CB1IR scores.

The SIF remained high across a wide range of values, with greatest score precision (maximum information/lowest standard error) being observed, as expected, towards mid range values (−1.6 to 2.4), which is desirable for a general population metric.
