Methods based on microscopic images include time-lapse photomicrography [ 82], multiple-exposure photomicrography, frame-by-frame playback videomicrography and cinematography [ 81], whereas turbidimetry, spectrophotometry and laser Doppler technology are based on physical principles [ 23].
