The 42 microarrays were imaged with Cy5 filter sets on an Applied Precision (Issaquah, WA) arrayWoRx™ Biochip Reader.
Slide microarrays were imaged using an arrayWoRx e Auto Biochip Reader (Applied Precision, LLC, Issaquah, WA, USA), fitted with the following filter sets: 1. A488 – Ex. 480/15× – Em. 530/40 (R110 dye); 2. Cy3 (narrowband) – Ex. 546/11 – Em.
The microarrays were imaged by combining a total internal reflection fluorescence (TIRF) setup with the SPAD imager (Fig. 1 ).
Microarrays were imaged on a Hitachi image scanner and data analyzed with GeneSpring 6 (Silicon Genetics).
Following hybridization and washing, microarrays were imaged using a DNA microarray scanner (agilent technologies) and array analysis and quality control were performed as described in [8].
