To elucidate the molecular targets of Nox4-generated ROS, we performed a microarray screen, in which we compared the transcriptomes of 2-week-old transgenic and wild-type hearts.
Moreover, a key member of the IGF pathway (IGF binding protein, a molecule that controls ligand-receptor interaction) was identified in Darwin's finches as one of the top differentially expressed candidate genes in a microarray screen in species with divergent beak shapes [ 14].
