In contrast, the level of Ccnd1 mRNA actually increased 2.2 fold in response to 75 mg/kg/day BaP treatment (by microarray analysis, Supporting Information Table I).
Although SUV39H1 was significantly upregulated in adenocarcinoma and squamous cell carcinoma tissue samples in our microarray analysis, supporting its positive role in tumorigenesis, it was found to be downregulated in blood samples in our qPCR validation.
In the present study, overexpression of maspin in carcinoma tissue compared with that of normal epithelium was also observed by using oligonucleotide microarray analysis, supporting the results of previous reports.
Data obtained from microarray analysis supports this hypothesis because we found increased expression levels of growth-promoting genes including Fgf1r, Fgf12, Igf1, Igf1r, Cyclin D2 in Hand1-DD heart.

Thus, results obtained by stem-loop RT-qPCR analysis were then consistent with those observed by microarray analysis, further supporting that miR168 is up-regulated by fungal elicitors.
