ApoE KO mice, a well-established animal model of atherosclerosis, had higher expressions of KLF14 in aorta tissues than that in C57BL/6 J mice when fed the high-fat diet (HFD) or standard chow diet.
OPN KO mice were protected from HFD-induced hepatic and skeletal muscle insulin resistance and had greater hepatic insulin sensitivity than WT mice when fed NC.
As shown in Fig. 2A (left panel), plasma PLTP activity in LDLR−/−/huPLTPtg/wt mice were approximately 3-fold higher than in LDLR−/− mice when fed a chow diet (0 weeks).
