Npc1−/− mice treated with allopregnanolone solubilized in 5% CD did live significantly longer than mice receiving the other allopregnanolone solutions or corn oil and DMSO vehicles, but so too did the control animals receiving only 5% CD (Fig. 4A).
Mice receiving LC T/MCT/FOinfusions displayed the lowest number of alveolar leukocytes at all time-points after LPS stimulation in comparison to control animals and mice receiving the other lipid emulsions (%, P <0.05).
