In the single-agent study, mice were treated for 45 days with vehicle (HPMC), MMPI at 100 mg kg−1 (200 mg kg−1 day−1) or COX-2I at 40 mg kg−1 (80 mg kg−1 das−1) as indicated in Materials and Methods.
Women with type 2 diabetes might lose more S-Mg than men do as indicated from low baseline values and from the strong response from the change in magnesium on change in S-Urate.
A variety of Al-Cu intermetallic compounds were observed: AlCu, CuAl2, and Cu9Al4 were present in the fusion zone, and a Cu-based solid solution was generated in the weld zone, while Cu2Mg and Al-Cu-Mg ternary eutectic structures were formed in the fusion zone of the Mg side, as indicated in Liu et al. (2006) and Li et al. (2007).
Freely dissolved concentrations of OCCs decreased by 11.5 88.4% at addition of 5 mg L−1 nC60 as indicated by reduced equilibrium concentrations in the SPME fiber coating, the highest reduction being observed for the most hydrophobic OCCs.
The internal (bath) solution contained (mmol/l): 107 KCl, 1 K2SO4, 2 MgCl2, 10 EGTA, 10 HEPES (pH 7.2 with KOH) and Mg-nucleotides as indicated.
The SCID mice with established tumours (average size 101±17 mm) were treated with C13 (0.5 mg per mouse) on day 6, followed by six injections of 0.25 mg (total of 2.0 mg per mouse) as indicated in Figure 2B.
However, its preventive effect was less than that of BHA (200 mg/L) as indicated by lower TBARS values of system containing BHA.
From the cross-sectional area of Lyz adsorbed side-on (A0 ≈ 4.5 nm × 3 nm = 13.5 nm), the monolayer capacity is about 1.8 mg/m, as indicated by the dashed line in Fig. 2. It can be seen that this adsorption level is nearly reached at pH 7.5, but higher values are attained closer to pI.
For each fermentation experiment, a total of 18 anaerobic bottles were used with each bottle starting with 45 ml basal medium supplemented with 1600 IU/ml penicillin and 2000 IU/ml streptomycin, 5 ml inoculum of co-cultures, and 500 mg of substrate as indicated.
Zanamivir was administered intravenously for five days (600 mg twice daily), as indicated by the producer.
