The most efficient method of drainage was found to be a combination of shallow and deep drains with relief wells wherever the semi-confined shallow aquifer was present.
The new method of drainage differs from the older ones in three ways: the approach is lateral; the incisions are at right angles to the muscle and fascial planes; and a large mass of muscular tissue is exsected.
We recorded the preoperative diagnosis, operative methods, amount of drainage, clinical manifestations, laboratory evaluations, cerebrospinal fluid study, and infectious organisms.

The different gas emission and migration patterns require different methods of gas drainage.

Methods of exploitation drainage, which is presently applied in polish hard coal mines in Upper Silesian Coal Basin Polandd), are not effective enough, high risk of methane hazard can be observed, and production capacity of the mining plant is not fully used.

Two methods of preoperative biliary drainage are mostly applied: endoscopic biliary drainage, which is currently used in most regional centers before referring patients for surgical treatment, and percutaneous transhepatic biliary drainage.
