Using RNA extraction methods described recently [ 23], we found that over 80% of the RNA extracted from archival FFPE tumor samples could be used for subsequent DASL analyses and produced DNA microarray data that were informative and could be validated and compared to that obtained from fresh FNAB specimens collected from the same patients.
