Given the importance of precise alignment as discussed above, it is very important to understand the role of alignment as well as the methodologies to ensure precise mask alignment.
SK contributed to the concept of alignment of expression profiles, invented and implemented primary methodology and primarily wrote the manuscript.
In the third step (table 3), we divided the sequences by the quality of alignment into those for which the alignment was judged to be unambiguous by the HoT methodology (Landan and Graur 2007) and those that contained alignment ambiguities.
