A growing number of studies have applied the GMYC method of species delimitation to bacteria [9], fungi [10], algae [11], rotifers [7], [12], springtails [13], insects [1], [8], [14] [25], crustaceans [26] [28], mollusks [29], [30], amphibians [31] and mammals [32].
A critical analysis about this topic is done in the present study, with the aim of proposing a novel method for delimitation and demarcation of coastal zone boundaries.
