We demonstrate that traditional expensive energy regeneration systems, such as creatine phosphate, phosphoenolpyruvate or phosphoglycerate, can be replaced by a cost-effective metabolic scheme suitable for cell-free protein synthesis applications.
Although metabolism of methyl bromide, methyl chloride and methyl iodide has been studied in different systems and to different extents, it has been suggested that the general metabolic scheme is valid for all methyl halides.
The database HIM comprises three data fields for each active ingredient: identification label, metabolic scheme and bioactivity information.
Metabolite and Metabolic Scheme.
Formulas for common phthalates and their metabolites are shown in Figure 1 [an illustration of a metabolic scheme is presented in Appendix Figure A, available online in Supplemental Material (http://www.ehponline.org/members/2008/10846/suppl.pdf); scheme adapted from Fredericksen et al. 2007].
All RTCA cycle enzymes and reactions are depicted in the metabolic scheme presented in Figure 1.
Based on the constructed metabolic scheme, 1,295 known enzymatic reactions involved in 263 pathways are predicted.
