We excluded children with an IQ of less than 70 on the WISC-III [ 22] and those with mental retardation, congenital anomalies, chromosome anomalies and/or neurological disorders.
In fact, association of cataract with congenital anomalies, mental retardation and microcephaly is reported in several cases with chromosomal anomalies and syndromes from genic origins [ 25- 27].
The developmental defects associated with the cohesinopathies include slow growth and small size, hirsutism, mental retardation, craniofacial anomalies, limb malformations, and heart, gastrointestinal, and auditory problems.

Patients with the latter syndrome display a multiple-anomaly disorder associated with mental retardation, white matter anomalies in the brain, growth hormone deficiency, congenital aural atresia, orofacial cleft, and palate abnormalities.
Moreover, unlike the time limits passed in Texas and some other states, or floating around in Congress, the European limits have exceptions, variously for physical or mental health, fetal anomaly or rape.
It is essentially a mental and emotional anomaly, and the important element in the treatment is moral control".
