The memory index of the 15-month old heterozygous mice was 67.8%, with the wild-type mice scoring 55.2% (p = 0.09) suggesting that the short term memory of the 15-month old knock-in mice is not impaired.
We found a nominally significant association of verbal memory index of WMS-R with 5 SNPs (rs1722387, rs3817446, rs2037639, rs10860936 and rs11111419) of the 6 tag SNPs in PAH.

Hence, compared to poorly performing patients, the well performing patients exhibited better abilities in verbal immediate memory (verbal memory index of WMS-R), semantic memory (BNT, WAIS-R), and verbal intelligence (WAIS-R) suggesting superior functions in left temporal and prefrontal cortices.

Furthermore, in order to address memory indices of hippocampal function, subjects were tested with the verbal learning memory test (VLMT, [ 35]).
