A total of 315 memory descriptions were gathered.
All memory descriptions were recorded and later transcribed verbatim for content analysis.

Independent sample t-test showed a significant difference, t(24) = 6.33, p < 0.01, d = 2.58 with depressed participants (M = 3.06, SD = 0.55) being less elaborative in their memory descriptions than the non-depressed participants (M = 4.33, SD = 0.47).
