Our paper is structured as follows: first, we present a literature review of open innovation, creativity of members, in-company cooperation, and product quality.
The findings further our understanding of how performance feedback may engage interdisciplinary team members in improving the quality of primary care and the unique challenges specific to these settings.
Purposive sampling was used to identify the participants from each organization, i.e. senior staff members who were engaged in quality of care measurement or improvement using quality indicators within the organization.

All of these serve to engage patients and community members in taking ownership over quality of healthcare for their citizens.
The participation of community members in the process of quality improvement is perhaps the most innovative aspect of formative supervision.
In the study by Johansson and colleagues [ 51], nurse managers who had a superior that stressed the importance of EBP reported a significantly higher number of activities in connection with introducing and discussing research findings with staff members, and also used research findings in quality improvement to a higher extent than nurse managers with less supportive superiors.
The rejoinder is that a faculty member would be unable to engage in quality higher education without a publication record, but that is an untested hypothesis.
