This solar dish collector is a lightweight and low-cost technology which can operate mainly at medium temperature levels.
This research brings some progress in the field of textile-based solar thermal energy harvesting products and they can potentially extend to be widely used in an industrial application that needs heating supply in low-to-medium temperature level.
The design presented in this paper can be considered promising for increasing the thermal performance of FPC and could be used in industrial applications that need heat at low-to-medium temperature level.
It relates to medium temperature, ambient temperature, level, flow and other factors.
At the frequency of 42.5 Hz, the average error results for different ambient temperature and medium temperature when the level ranges from 2 to 4 cm are shown in Fig. 5.
As the conical HTP is an enclosed photobioreactor and the amount of culture medium needed can be reduced, this photobioreactor seems more effective than the open-pond or channel-type systems for maintaining the culture medium temperature at the optimum level.
