"It's such a lossless medium," said Phil Murphy, senior vice president for operations for Paramount television.
"No one has found the happy medium," said Mr. Mumolie, the board president.
"It's not different from any other medium," said Ekaterina Walsh, a consumer analyst for Forrester Research in Cambridge, Mass.
"Radio is our most ubiquitous mass medium," said the F.C.C chairman, William E. Kennard, who championed the program.
"The newspaper is the last great mass medium," said David Underhill, a vice president at the Tribune Company.
The comics medium, said the author, is often "sidelined" in the UK – something which is not the case internationally.
The medium said she sensed that drugs had been involved and then told Ms. Cianca her brother was fine.
"There isn't yet a generally accepted set of norms for this new medium," said Victor Navasky, chairman of the magazine.
"A lot of marketers are interested in Web logs as a medium," said Nick Denton, publisher at Gawker Media in New York.
"For tickets sold remotely, it's far and away the preferred medium," said Bernie Mullen, the NBA's senior vice president for marketing and team business operations.
