The homogenized biofilm was composed of single cells and cellular aggregates; after 48 h, the surrounding medium contained few planktonic cells and the SL-biofilm contained a high density of cells in large aggregates.
At the base of the deepest core (LEF 1), homogeneous, well sorted medium to fine sand was encountered (Fig. 4), characterized by a unimodal grain size distribution (Fig. 5) and containing few mollusc and sea weed remains.
Images at higher magnification (×100) show that, compared to seedlings grown on the mock medium, those grown on medium containing eBL or bikinin produced fewer root hairs in the H position of epidermal cells, while those grown on medium containing Brz grew more root hairs in the N position.
We also found that the bin2-3 bil1 bil2 seedlingrownonn on medium containing 30 μM bikinin produced very few root hairs, suggesting that besides BIN2, BIL1, and BIL2, other GSK3-like kinases may also be involved in root hair specification in Arabidopsis.
Some studies added antibiotics directly to stationary phase cultures, which has more persisters not killed, whereas others resuspended or diluted stationary phase cultures in fresh medium containing antibiotics, which typically leads to fewer persisters due to elevated metabolic activity of stationary phase bacteria being resuspended in fresh medium.

The livers were subsequently removed, cut into pieces and then incubated with 2 mL of collagenase at 37°C for 10 min. 5 mL of DMEM medium containing 2% FBS was added and gently agitated for a few seconds.
During the analysis of trichome development in CAF-1 mutants we observed that fas2- 1 seedlings had fewer trichomes with supernumerary branches when grown on MS medium containing sucrose than on MS medium alone (data not shown).
Low and medium grade (G1/G2) tumors generally contained few changes, paralleled by similar low level of complexity in Ta tumors (Table 1).
In complete cell culture medium containing glucose, amino acids and serum, EGFP-LC3 fluorescence was largely diffuse throughout the cytoplasm with few dots denoting basal autophagosome formation (Fig. 1b).
