Other researchers used SR systems with supplementary accessories for managing text information such as generic templates [ 22], medical or pathology terminology dictionary [ 18, 20, 33, 38], Radiology Information System (RIS) [ 37] and Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACS) [ 36].
However, to work effectively these methods need in general a bilingual dictionary (in this case an English-Swedish dictionary) suitable for the medical terminology domain[ 5].
Our word alignment resulted in a list of candidate term pairs for an English-Swedish dictionary tailored for the medical terminology systems domain.

These medical terminology systems can be used as a basis for building a medical dictionary adapted for medical terminology systems.
A future step is to standardize the generated term pairs in the dictionary to be suitable for use in semi-automatic translation methods for medical terminology systems.
In three man weeks we were able to produce a medical English-Swedish dictionary consisting of 31,000 entries and also found hidden translation errors in the utilized medical terminology systems.
