To use this method to quantitate protein aggregation, we measured aggregation of the GFP-tagged polyglutamine expansion tract (polyQ79) protein (Sanchez et al, 2003).

METHODS: In a prospective, randomized, pilot study of 50 consecutive elective patients, platelet activation was analyzed by measuring aggregation and surface receptor expression before and at 2 hours, 24 hours, 5 days and 30 days after implantation of either heparin-coated or noncoated stents.
