The announcement comes two weeks after a settlement with State Farm Insurance that will mean an average premium increase of 14.5percentt for more than 800,000 drivers, and up to 90percentt for those with the worst driving records.
For both premium groups, average family income, child age and health remain relatively constant over the course of the year, and average premium increases.
The case of constant mean premium and increased mean returns also rendered similar observations.
For a large hospital in New York City, that could mean a premium increase of $20 million a year.
Steeper premium increases this year could mean nothing more than the insurers making up for lost ground, now that they have enough data on which to base pricing.

The ACA also includes a special rule that requires insurance companies to publicly justify premium increases of more than 10percentt -- which means no more expensive surprises for rural families from year to year.
