In the present study 512 SSR loci with a mean marker density of 5.1 cM per locus, ranging from 2.2 to 9.4 cM for all 21 chromosomes, were used to measure LD in Chinese wheat genetic resources at both the genome and chromosome levels (Tables 6 9, Figures. 5 and 6).

However, the results obtained in this study for BTA1, BTA27, BTA28 and BTA29 can probably be attributed to a sampling variation since the number of markers, marker density, mean MAF or proportion of MAF did not differ from the other autosomes studied.
