Qualitative and quantitative analysis was performed by determining 4 regions of interest (bursal medial, articular medial, bursal lateral, and articular lateral) with quantification and analysis software (QLAB Philips, Andover, MA) to examine each region of interest and normalize data for interpretation of the mean intensity per pixel.
The selected indices are the mean (M) and the standard deviation (SD) of precipitation, the frequency of wet days (precipitation using threshold of ⩾ 1 mm, Prcpl), the maximum number of consecutive dry days (precipitation < 1 mm, CDD), the greatest maximum amount accumulated over the 3 day (R3d), the mean intensity per wet day (SDII) and the 90th percentile of daily rainfall (Prec90p).
The mean intensity per episode (NRS) was 7.74 in patients with EM and 7.96 in patients with CM.
Alternatively, the 3D raster with zeros and ones can be derived from cells falling above or below some threshold for point count, total or mean intensity per cell, or their combination.
In our sample, headache history was 2.1 years (95% CI 1.8 2.4 years), mean headache period per day was 4.2 h (95% CI 3.5 4.9 h), the mean intensity per episode was 5.1 (95% CI 4.8 5.4), and the number of days per week with headache was 4.2 (95% CI 4.0 4.5 days/week).
In our sample, headache history was 1.9 years (95% CI 1.7 2.2 years), the mean intensity per episode was 5.0 (95% CI 4.6 5.3), mean headache period per day was 4.2 h (95% CI 3.5 4.9 h), and the number of days per week with headache was 4.4 (95% CI 4.1 4.6 days/week).
The worm burden, prevalence and mean intensities per infected fish varied among different fishes (Table 2), with 100% prevalence in L. niloticus and the highest intensity in H. forskahlii.
The respective mean intensities per unit area were 53.9 (100 ms; 3 pulsings of the galvo), 16.9 (100 ms; 1 pulsing of the galvo), 29.7 (50 ms; 3 pulsings of the galvo), 15.4 (50 ms; 2 pulsing of the galvo), 15.0 (20 ms; 3 pulsing of the galvo) and 4.4 (autofluorescence; non-laser-manipulated) for Figures 3, 4, 5 and 6.
