The classification of purine nucleoside analogs as inactive and active using a single tree, based on the Balaban-type index from Z-weighted distance matrix, A37, JhetZ index, and mean information content on the distance magnitude, A11, IDM index, has been depicted in Fig. 2.
The MCOIN heuristic is based on the concepts of motif containment and mean information content per column.
Within genera and species, mean information content was reduced, with Niveoscincus having the fewest PICs per locus (1.6; Table 1).> -wrap-foot> Phylogenetic analyses were not performed on these data sets.
For 58 aliphatic compounds, the kNO3 is correlated to constitutional (NAT, nHD, UI), and geometric WHIM (Du, λ1s) descriptors (r = 0.840), and for 16 aromatics, kNO3 was correlated to two constitutional (MW, hydrophilic factor (HY)), and one topological (mean information content index on the distance degree equality IE D,deq) descriptors (r = 0.978; Table S9; Gramatica et al., 1999a).
The mean atmospheric half-lives (Mean T1/2) of 59 POP were satisfactorily correlated (r = 0.841; Table S9) to two global WHIM descriptors (Ku and Tu), and to two topological descriptors (mean information content index on the distance degree equality IE D,deq and Kier flexibility index ø).
The VIN was well correlated (r = 0.771) to three constitutional descriptors (HY, number of multiple bonds (nBM), number of rings NoRING), two topological descriptors (χv, mean information content index on vertex degree equality IE deg) and one geometric descriptor asphericity (ASP) (Table S6).
Note that in this paper, we only evaluate the mean information contents.
Among the 6 wild populations, XXL showed the highest mean number of alleles (MNA), mean AR, mean HE, and mean polymorphic information content (PIC) (MNA = 10.8; AR = 8.324; HE = 0.856; PIC = 0.832).
Larger heights mean higher information content, but more information also requires more memory and computational power when building predictive models.
This effect can be understood by noting that information in the Shannon sense is related to entropy, or degree of unpredictability, where lower predictability means higher information content.
These markers produced the total of 127 alleles for all loci, with a mean of 6.68 alleles per locus, and a mean Polymorphic Information Content (PIC) of 0.440.
