When this period was arbitrarily divided into the first stage as 1998 to 2003 and second stage from 2004 to 2008, the mean incidence for CD in the first stage was 0.16/100,000 and 0.22/100,000 for the second stage; the incidence of CD increased significantly from the first stage to the second stage (p = 0.005).
