If the influence of the covariable body weight (global regression coefficient) was statistically significant the calculated means of the group parameters were corrected for body weight (adjusted means).
A two-tailed Student´s t-test was used to determine whether 10 physicians per study group was a sufficiently large sample to detect statistical differences within (difference of two dependent means) and between (difference of two independent means) groups, with an alpha level set at 0.017 and the effect size (dz) calculating group parameters (mean and standard deviation of each group).
The means and ranges of control group parameters are in agreement with a large cohort study using quantitative cardiac MRI.
In this paper, "parameter correlations" means a group of parameters in the model equations which are mathematically related to each other through some implicit functions, i.e. among the parameters there is a functional relationship [ 15, 26, 27].

As expected due to natural variation, a few abnormalities were found in the reference group (mean across parameters for somatosensory loss 4.0 ± 2.0 % and for somatosensory gain 1.1 ± 2.2 %) (Table 1) [7, 18].
In order to aid interpretation, the posterior estimates of the log-normal group mean parameters, effect sizes, and their 95% CIs were back-transformed to the linear scale using exponentiation.
The differences in mean binding units between the disease categories and in mean clinical parameters between groups were compared by Student's t test.
Mean lipid parameters for the group also improved steadily for 6 years (Fig. 2).
This showed that kappa or the 'concentration' parameter increased significantly with participant age (radj =.133, p <.001; covarying out FSIQe: ρ =.324, p =.003; for year group mean parameter values, see Figure 5b).
