In the insulin glargine group, this decline was from a mean baseline level of 10.6 ± 3.7 mmol/l to a mean endpoint level of 7.8 ± 3.2 mmol/l; in the NPH insulin group, FPG decreased from a mean of 10.0 ± 3.4 mmol/l to a mean of 7.7 ± 3.2 mmol/l (ITT population).
