To investigate the diversity change, we inferred within- and between-host mean diversities for the 1980s and the 2000s, respectively, using the nucleotide diversity, π, implemented in MEGA4 under the K80+G model again.
Diversity can also mean diversity of quality.
Comparison between mean diversity indexes for SDRN1 and SDRN2 shown significant Student's tests for He (P-value = 0.01 with He = 0.02 and He = 0.15, respectively), RS (P-value = 0.005 with RS = 1.23 and RS = 2.06, respectively), Hd (P-value = 0.02 with Hd = 0.27 and Hd = 0.57, respectively), and Polyclonality (P-value < 0.001 with Polyclonality = 0.12 and Polyclonality = 0.36, respectively).
The mean diversity results for non-obese and obese subjects are shown in Fig. 4.
