Mean densities did not differ between sites in the spring or summer, but were higher at the closed site in the fall (open: 0.9±0.1 SE; closed: 1.4±0.1).
In the control tanks, mean larval density did not differ (p > 0.05) throughout the study period.
The mean parasite density did not vary significantly among survey months (ANOVA, F = 0.53, df = 2, 483, p = 0.59) but did vary significantly among age groups (F = 21.17, df = 5, 483, p<0.001; Figure 2B).

In fact, the mean hot spot microvessel density did not differ significantly among individual D-12 tumours, perhaps because they were derived from the same cell line and thus, in contrast to the clinical tumours, had the same genetic background.
Moderate increases in density don't mean town cramming.
We find that the mean helix/strand density and contact density do differ between these various categories (fig. 8).
This means that reaction norms according to density did not change during the course of invasion (at the introduction or during the spatial expansion).
