The 560-nm transmission peak on the AR-coated glasses is the main cause of the disappearance of the reflected images as the maximum spectral sensitivity of human eyes is at approximately 555 nm.

The fact that the spectral sensitivity maxima of the M and L cones are very close together reveals an interesting evolutionary history.
We then multiplied the four resulting curves by the transmissivity of the ocular media [ 17] and normalized the result for each cone to an absorbance maximum of 1 to create a modelled spectral sensitivity curve for green sea turtles.
The Pf value at the wavelength of the peak spectral sensitivity was initially approximately 15, and the maximum value of Pf increased through evolution and approached the Emax value.
For relative spectral sensitivity data analysis, data were normalized to the maximum sensitivity and k was set to 0. For the cut-loading experiments, cells were imaged and photographed with a Zeiss 510 META laser scanning confocal microscope (Carl Zeiss, Inc., Thornwood, NY).
A spectral V/logI recording was subsequently conducted for each subject at the wavelength (λmax) that generated its maximum ERG response (Vmax) to facilitate the subsequent calculation of the subject's spectral sensitivity curve at equal quantal light intensities at each wavelength.
Spectroscopic analyses of the recombinant pigments of the two teleost parapinopsins PP1 and PP2 revealed that PP1 is a UV-sensitive pigment, similar to lamprey parapinopsin, but PP2 is a blue-sensitive pigment, with an absorption maximum at 460 480 nm, showing the diversification of non-visual pigment with respect to spectral sensitivity.
In many cases, the duplicated opsins display numerous amino acid substitutions and substantial differences in spectral sensitivity (e.g., the RH2 opsins of zebrafish, whose spectral sensitivity maxima are located from 467 nm to 505 nm; [ 16]), which is indicative of functional divergence following the duplication events.
The spectral locations of the wavelengths of maximum absorbance (λmax) of the different visual pigments, and the spectral transmittance characteristics of the intraocular spectral filters (cone oil droplets) that also determine photoreceptor spectral sensitivity, vary according to both habitat and phylogenetic relatedness.
The camera's spectral sensitivity was estimated for conversion from spectral radiance to RGB pixel values.
