The black triangle represents maximum accelerations a, b, and c, while red circles are points that remain outside the fitted triangle (see Section IV). Figure 12 shows the typical g-g patterns for various types of maneuvers.
User descriptors have been defined on the basis of the two-thirds power law (the α coefficient), and on the basis of the maximum accelerations (forward b, backward c, and modulus of lateral a).
