An obstructive ventilatory defect is a disproportionate reduction in maximal airflow from the lung in relation to the maximal volume (i.e. vital capacity, VC) that can be displaced from the lung [ 1].
Thus, this section of the review is dedicated to presenting research findings related to increases in aerobic capacity of cancer survivors, either through maximal volume of oxygen measures (VO2), or through sub-maximal and field cardiorespiratory tests.
