Three hypotheses were tested: (1) average speed on uphill terrain is the major determinant of STT performance; (2) skiers perform at work rates >150% of peak aerobic power on uphill terrain; and (3) peak oxygen uptake and efficiency on uphills, and maximal speed on flat sections are of particular importance to overall STT performance.
It should be mentioned that the correlation of protein folding rates with Rg2 (proportional to the surface of maximal cross-section) is worse than with (VASA/SASA)2 (proportional to the surface of minimal cross-section drawn through the center of the protein molecule).
For maximal PgR staining sensitivity, sections were co-incubated with primary antibody clones 636 (M3569, Dako Ltd., Cambridge, UK) and 16 (VP-P976, Vector Laboratories, Burlingame, CA, USA).
The time pattern and values of [H]-thymidine incorporation into hepatic DNA in groups F and G were almost identical with that in group A.
