Additionally to this experiment, we determined the percentage of mating and the mating duration in double mating implying two SR males or two ST males.
In the reciprocal cross, mating occurrences were not different than in the parental strains, but mating duration was about double, again with the male having observed difficulty disengaging from the female.
Each video was visually analysed to determine mating latency, first mate choice, mating duration and male mating frequency during the experimental period.
