Apart from aiding the development of novel materials, clusters are very useful for understanding the intrinsic and fundamental nature of molecular recognition and self-assembling phenomena.
Various boron nitride (BN) and carbon (C) nanocage fullerene materials (clusters, metallofullerenes, onion, nanotubes and nanocapsules) were synthesized by arc-melting, electron-beam irradiation, chemical reaction, and self-organization.
Metrics included (see also Supplementary Materials): Clustering coefficient C, describing the level of topological local connectedness of a node.
Based on our initial open coding, we identified three over-arching domains in which the content of the health education materials clustered: health effects of lead, exposure pathways, and strategies for reducing exposure.
This means that cluster 1 clearly separates from clusters 2 and 3, whereas clusters 2 and 3 separate into a defined subpopulation with higher relatedness (cluster 2) and a less defined subpopulation with more diverse material (cluster 3).

Processes employing ions of gaseous material clusters comprised of a few hundred to many thousand atoms are now being developed into a new field of ion beam technology.
This method is based on image retrieval techniques, and specifically those related with material and object identification and matches known material samples with material clusters within the image content.
In particular those cases, and based on the knowledge on segregation patterns within the material, clustering errors were identified and amended [ 51].
All materials in cluster 4 in Fig. 2 were assigned to cluster 4 with more than 81% probability in Structure, except two varieties from Senegal that were assigned to cluster 4 with 59% and 46% probability.
