As the examples for applying the evaluation method, material affinities of several material pairs under mechanical or thermal loads are evaluated and some guidelines for selecting suitable material pairs are also concluded.
However, the above method was only shown to be suitable for the tested material pairs that were studied.
To obtain a comprehensive picture of functional associations, we integrated the four above described large-scale gene association data sets using a naïve Bayesian approach: we additively derived an LLS describing the combined evidence for association among pairs of proteins (Material and Methods).
For each pair of codon positions, the map displays the highest level of covariation measured for mutations at that pair (see Materials and Methods).
Using gene-specific primers at the reverse transcription step, followed by a CPO-specific primer pair (see Materials and Methods), a significant and reproducible 2.5-fold increase in CPO mRNA level was observed.
