No wonder he occasionally threw a club (he wildly bounced his driver into the gallery at the Australian Masters after a poor tee shot late last year) or growled an obscenity that spectators and viewers heard.
Vijay Singh, the defending Masters champion, was their tee-time buddy, too.
He will become what is believed to be the oldest first-time Masters participant when he tees off Thursday.
